  Brer Fox laughed when he found Brer Rabbit tangled up with Tar-Baby. Brer Fox felt like he was on top of the world.     Brer Rabbit was fooling Brer Fox. “My oh my, did I get you this time Brer fox,” he said. “You’ve been sassy to me and running around this town like you own the place,” said Brer Rabbit. Brer Rabbit was fed up with Brer Fox thinking he owns the town. Tar-Baby heard Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit arguing. He peaked his head up from the pound. Drabbles: October Fest My girlfriends and I decided to attend October Fest, but I was terrified. Ghosts, goblins, witches, and other scary costumes everywhere. The first thing we did was enter a haunted house. My heart was beating so fast and my hands were covered in sweat. As we entered the haunted house, the first scene was a graveyard. Dead bodies and bones were scattered everywhere. Skeletons would reach out and touch all of us. I started to scream. Mr. Fox and the Deceitful Frogs Turtle mocks Brer Fox from down in the water.   Turtle says, “ I-doom-er-ker-kum-mer-ker! I-doom-er-ker-kum-mer-ker!  I-doom-er-ker-kum mer-ker!”   Which translates to Terrapin talk. Turtle kept reapeating, “ I-doom-er-ker-kum-mer-ker!”  as he lays in the bottom of the pond.   The Wonderful Tar-Baby Story On a warm, sunny day, Brer Rabbit saw Beer Fox go to work to get some tar. Beer Fix mixed the tar with some turpentine and made it a contraption called "Tar-Baby." Brer Fox took his Tar-Baby and sat her in the bushes by the side of the road.  Brer Rabbit came dancing down the road. He called it the "fox  trot" as he slide and turned down the road. Brer Rabbit was sassy and whimsical. Brer Fox knew he couldn't keep up with Brer Rabbit's dance moves. Brer Rabbit come down closer to Tar-Baby and noticed something strange behind her legs.  Brer Fox, he lay low. While Tar-Baby sat there peacefully.  "Good morning!" Brer Rabbit said.  1. Looking back: Looking back at progress so far this semester, I am not proud of what I have done because I have not completed all of my assignments and my portfolio is not as "creative" as others. I think I have a lot of room for improvement and creativity. I also think I should have been more organized during the week in order to get my assignments completed on time. The class assignments I enjoy most are when I get to read my classmates stories and comment on them. I think these are the most beneficial for me because I get to learn from others whether that is their writing style or creativity, and provide comments for my classmates as well. I think my progress for my blog and portfolio have gone well, however I need to fix some formatting issues.  2. Looking forward: The changes I want to make for the second half of the semester are to be more organized, turning my assignments in on time, and to push myself when doing my reading assignments. Since I just created my comment wall, I will not have comments until next week. However, I received amazing feedback from Professor Gibbs. She informed me to remove my intro page on my website and fix my navigation for my website. As for my blog, she said to not post raw URLs but post a clickable text, as well as doing this for my comment wall. I need to add a title for each of my stories in my storybook and some few other things. This was GREAT feedback I received and I can't wait to fix everything this weekend. Looking forward I obviously want to fix everything I received constructive and great feedback on. I think this feedback will also help me be more successful throughout the rest of the semester so I can stay on track and feel good about my stories and posts. I would not say I am happy with both my blog or website but my mission and plan this week is to fix the both of them. By fixing them, I mean that I am going to change the layout, re-organize both my project website and blog, and add more extra credit assignments to get caught up on class points. I am satisfied with my writings so far this semester, however, I know I can push myself and be more creative. I consider my biggest accomplishments so far for this class is learning how to write in new ways and writing about topics I have never written about before. My favorite reading so far is the Adam and Eve story. My reading notes are helping me each week for my story because sometimes I forget what exactly happened in stories when I read them so for me personally I think it is always good to take notes on stories I read. New reading stories I have discovered is writing down more of main ideas versus specific characters or small details. I know I have to improve on my organizational skills...
