Keeping Up With Kylie

 After watching the videos provided in this assignment, I really enjoyed learning more about the "growth mindset." I have never heard of Carol Dweck, she is an incredible woman. I loved watching her Ted Talk and learning more about what the growth-fixed mindset is. I personally feel that now that I am a senior in college, I am more on the growth-fixed mindset because I do not always focus on the letter grade I receive, but on how much I learn, how to do the best I can personally do in a class, and the value of relationships I make in each class. I find these things to be more important than a physical letter grade because I will never look back at my school experience, I will think about my memories and what I learned.  Hello, my name is Kylie Markham and I am from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I am a senior this fall at OU. I also have a younger sister, Lindsey, who is a freshman at OU as well. I am an Advertising major with a minor in Enterprise Studies. I have two younger sisters. I was a member of the OU spirit team my Sophomore and Junior year. I am also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority here at OU. My favorite color is blue, specifically any light blue. My favorite place to travel to is Hawaii or the Caribbean. I love going to the beach with my family. We always go on a spring break trip together, it has been a family tradition since I was a little girl. I love to hangout with my friends and family, workout, go on walks, and to cook. I also enjoy skiing and swimming at the beach. My favorite type of music is country, but I also love pop, rock, and hiphop. I chose to attend OU because I knew I wanted to attend a traditional university with a strong alumni presence and a large greek system.

 After looking through all of the options for the storybooks, I have selected three storybooks that have caught my attention. The first one is called "Bedtime Stories." What caught my attention about this particular because it states " a  warm campfire and a good night's sleep will do you some good." It makes me think of a cozy camp fire with everyone telling fun bedtime stories around the fire. I also found this storybook to be interesting because there were already four tales posted and there was a YouTube video on the main page of the storybook. The design of the storybook  also attracted me because it mimics a campfire and camp scene perfectly. The second storybook is called "OU's Haunted Halls." What drew me to this storybook was the fact that it was related to OU. I personally believe in ghosts and spirits so I found it interesting that there was a storybook about OU's hauntings.   My favorite place to go to is the big island of Hawaii. I have been there four times and absolutely love it. It is by far my favorite place because it is not very crowded, the beaches are beautiful, the hikes are spectacular, and the food is fresh.
