Week 8 Progress

 1. Looking back:

Looking back at progress so far this semester, I am not proud of what I have done because I have not completed all of my assignments and my portfolio is not as "creative" as others. I think I have a lot of room for improvement and creativity. I also think I should have been more organized during the week in order to get my assignments completed on time. The class assignments I enjoy most are when I get to read my classmates stories and comment on them. I think these are the most beneficial for me because I get to learn from others whether that is their writing style or creativity, and provide comments for my classmates as well. I think my progress for my blog and portfolio have gone well, however I need to fix some formatting issues. 

2. Looking forward:

The changes I want to make for the second half of the semester are to be more organized, turning my assignments in on time, and to push myself when doing my reading assignments. I have already improved on my organizational and timely skills the past two weeks, however, I need to make this a habit. Something new I want to try in my writing is new formats when I am writing stories, as well as maybe using different word choices in my stories. I want to make my website more colorful and easier to navigate for viewers.

I chose this image because pushing harder than I did yesterday pushes myself to be the best version of myself I can be.

 Hello, my name is Kylie Markham and I am from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I am a senior this fall at OU. I also have a younger sister, Lindsey, who is a freshman at OU as well. I am an Advertising major with a minor in Enterprise Studies. I have two younger sisters. I was a member of the OU spirit team my Sophomore and Junior year. I am also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority here at OU. My favorite color is blue, specifically any light blue. My favorite place to travel to is Hawaii or the Caribbean. I love going to the beach with my family. We always go on a spring break trip together, it has been a family tradition since I was a little girl. I love to hangout with my friends and family, workout, go on walks, and to cook. I also enjoy skiing and swimming at the beach. My favorite type of music is country, but I also love pop, rock, and hiphop. I chose to attend OU because I knew I wanted to attend a traditional university with a strong alumni presence and a large greek system.

Week 7 Story: The Miraculous Mirror

Once upon a time, there was a sun goddess, whom was high of the heavens named  Amaterasu. She was known to sit in the middle of the night weaving a web of Doom. In which, this web of Doom was so big and symbolized the characteristics of joy and dismay. Amaterasu's weaving lead to Izanagi's daughter showing up. She was known for her Lotus-pure blossoms of Love with the flame of a rapturous star. She began to spin and interweave colors that represented important things to her, like life or war.  Thunder and lightening began falling from the sky. The angels were bowling. The Hall of the Gods were sending a message from heaven.  Suddenly, the demon of fire appeared in the mist of the ran. He was called, the Dragon of Hell. Amaterasu was frightened, she left her spinning and weaving. She raged at her brother in fear.  People prayed for a sign of heaven. They knew they needed more good in this world than the devil showing itself through fire and wind. They prayed for the Sun-Goddess
